Most small business grants hand you a check and wish you luck. The Next Stop Grant hands you a place to run your business.
Saltbox is awarding $5,000 in membership credit toward a warehouse suite at Saltbox Atlanta, Chamblee to one eligible Georgia business. Applications close September 28, 2026, and the recipient is announced at our Chamblee launch party on October 7, 2026. Below I’ll cover what the credit actually pays for, who qualifies, how the judges score, and how to get your application in.
I write about what it costs product businesses to operate out of a garage, a storage unit, or a spare bedroom, and I’m one of three judges reading every application for this grant. Consider this the version of the rules I’d want if I were the one applying.
What is the Next Stop Grant?
The Next Stop Grant is $5,000 in Saltbox membership credit awarded to one eligible Georgia business, applied to the monthly membership for a warehouse suite at Saltbox Atlanta, Chamblee until the credit is used.
Here’s how the award works:
- Three finalists are selected. All three attend the launch party on October 7, 2026, because the recipient has to be present to claim the grant.
- The credit lands in your member account and comes off your monthly membership until the balance runs out.
- The credit applies to a warehouse suite of your choice at Saltbox Atlanta, Chamblee, availability pending.
- The recipient starts membership by November 1, 2026. Any unused balance expires December 31, 2027.
No purchase or tour is required to apply, and submitting an application is completely free.
Why is the award membership credit instead of cash?
We made the $5,000 grant a Saltbox Workspace membership credit because space is a constant constraint for small- to medium-sized businesses.
Our location teams often heard that when a product-based business stalls, the reason is rarely a missing dollar amount in the bank. It’s that the inventory is stacked in a living room, the packing station is a folding table, and the only industrial space on the market wants a multi-year commitment and a 5,000-square-foot minimum. A cash grant covers a few months of that commitment and then leaves you holding it.
Suites at Saltbox Atlanta, Chamblee run from 114 to 3,200 square feet and hold 4 to 125 pallets, with pricing starting at $810 per month*. At the entry tier, $5,000 is roughly six months of covered membership in a building with amenities and on-site support, and the membership stays month to month the whole time. That’s the difference we’re going for: the grant buys you operating runway instead of buying you a contract.

*Pricing is for an extra-small warehouse suite. Monthly pricing will differ depending on the size space you select.
Who is eligible for this small business grant in Georgia?
You’re eligible if your business operates in Georgia with a Georgia business address, has been operating for at least six months as of August 31, 2026, and makes, sells, stores, or ships physical products, or does project work that needs warehouse and dock space.
The full eligibility list:
- A Georgia business address and Georgia operations
- At least six months of operating history as of August 31, 2026
- Physical products or project work that needs a warehouse suite and a dock
- No competing business lines, which means no warehousing, self-storage, or third-party logistics companies
- An applicant who is 18 or older and authorized to represent the business
Saltbox employees, officers, directors, the judges, and their immediate families are not eligible.
How are the finalists and the recipient chosen?
Three judges score every eligible application against four published criteria. There is no drawing and no random selection.
The judges are Shelly Densler, Location Manager at Saltbox Chamblee, Ashley Wright, Community Growth Manager, and me, the Grant Manager.
One piece of advice from the reading side of the table: need and impact is 30% of the score, and it’s the section applicants underuse. “We need more space” reads the same on every application. “Our 400 square feet of garage capped us at 60 orders a day through Q4 last year” tells us exactly what the credit unlocks. Numbers beat adjectives. If you have a photo of where your inventory currently lives, include it, because it’s optional and it makes your constraint obvious in one glance.
What does the credit cover at Saltbox Atlanta, Chamblee?
The credit covers the monthly membership for a warehouse suite at 5315 Peachtree Blvd, and a Saltbox membership is one all-inclusive rate rather than a base rate plus a list of add-ons.
Included in your membership at Chamblee:
- Loading docks with daily on-site carrier pickups
- Mail and packaging receiving, plus inventory receiving on all memberships
- Conference rooms and a content studio
- Kitchen and community space

- The Upstream Entrepreneurs Club
The building is already open and running, so the recipient isn’t waiting on a construction timeline. We’ll be hosting a launch party at the Atlanta, Chamblee location on October 7, 2026, where we’ll be announcing the grant recipient in real-time. Come celebrate, see the space, and enter to win some fun prizes, including Meta Ray-Ban glasses, 2 Atlanta United tickets (club seats), and a $500 Visa gift card.

If Chamblee isn’t the right side of town for you, Saltbox Atlanta also operates in Atlanta, Upper Westside and Atlanta, Westside Park*, and our Q4 peak season guide for Atlanta ecommerce brands walks through how to pressure-test your setup before the holidays either way.
*The Next Stop Grant is only redeemable at Saltbox Chamblee and cannot be used at another Saltbox location
How do you apply before September 28, 2026?
Go to the official Next Stop Grant entry page and submit the application form before 11:59 PM EDT on September 28, 2026. Budget about ten minutes.
- Answer the dropdowns and confirmations. Business basics, what you make or move, and how long you’ve been operating.
- Write two short answers, up to 100 words each. One on the operational constraint holding you back right now, one on what $5,000 toward warehouse space would let you do in the next six months. Write them in plain language and use real numbers.
- Add a photo if you have one. Optional, and it helps us see where your products, materials, or inventory currently live.
Then watch your inbox. Finalists hear from us privately on October 2, 2026, and the recipient is announced at the launch party on October 7, 2026. If you’re named a finalist and can’t make the party, tell us as soon as you know.
