A colorful celebration of thinking big: The new Saltbox mural in Atlanta

I joined Saltbox as an Entrepreneur in Residence a little over a month ago and during my initial visit to the new Atlanta location I was struck by the massive mural painted outside.

I asked the team about the backstory and was told that it was commissioned to celebrate their second facility opening and give back to the city that Saltbox was founded in.

The diverse people and dynamic atmosphere that make Atlanta so amazing were the inspiration local artist Charity Hamidullah leveraged to create the mural. It depicts a beautiful sunrise palette reflective of the energy and spirit of both Atlanta and our Saltbox Member community. As the figures dance across the wall, they tell stories of growth, optimism, and unity – everything we hold dear at Saltbox.

I’ve spent my fair share of time in warehouses around the country and most are cavernous concrete boxes without much to be visually excited about. Walking through the new West Side Park Atlanta location, I thought a lot about how it rivaled some of the coolest creative offices I’ve been in over the years. It’s a testament to Saltbox’s ethos of creating spaces and services centered around the human experience.

So next time you're in the area, take a moment to soak in the colors, feel the energy, and appreciate the love that went into this mural. It's our way of saying thank you, Atlanta, for nurturing dreams and fostering an environment where small businesses like those we support, can thrive.
