The Made in Chicago Grant — Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Sponsor

Saltbox, Inc., 169 Madison Ave, Suite 2041, New York, NY 10016 ("Saltbox" or "Sponsor").

2. Eligibility

Open to owners or authorized representatives of a product or ecommerce business that is legally operating in the Chicago metropolitan area / State of Illinois, who are legal U.S. residents and at least 18 years old at time of entry. Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, and their immediate family/household members are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

3. Entry Period

The Grant opens Monday, August 3, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Central Time and closes Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper.

4. How to Enter

Complete the entry form at https://www.saltbox.com/made-in-chicago-grant with your first name, email, and business name (website optional). Limit one entry per business. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or submitted after the deadline are void. Automated or bulk entries are disqualified.

5. Prize

One (1) winner receives a $5,000 credit toward a Saltbox membership at Saltbox Elmhurst (934 N Church Rd, Elmhurst, IL 60126), applied against membership fees under a separate membership agreement. Approximate retail value (ARV): $5,000. The credit is applied against membership fees only — services are not eligible — may be used toward any available suite type, and is applied over time until exhausted. The credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash. The prize is expressly contingent upon Saltbox Elmhurst opening for membership; the winner must claim it and begin applying it within 60 days of the location's opening or it is forfeited.

6. Winner Selection

Winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. To be eligible for the drawing, an entry must meet the criteria in Section 2 (owner or authorized representative of a product or ecommerce business operating in the Chicago metropolitan area / State of Illinois). Eligibility is an objective yes/no screen, not a judgment of business quality or merit — this is a sweepstakes, not a judged contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. The drawing occurs on or about the week of September 14, 2026.

7. Winner Notification

The potential winner will be notified by email within 7 business days of selection. If the winner does not respond within 5 business days, forfeits, is ineligible, or declines, Sponsor may select an alternate. Before the prize is awarded, the potential winner must satisfy Sponsor's standard membership eligibility requirements, execute Sponsor's then-current Membership Agreement, and, if requested, sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and publicity release where permitted by law.

8. Taxes

The prize is taxable income to the winner. Before the prize is awarded, the winner must provide a completed IRS Form W-9. Sponsor will report the prize value as required by law (IRS Form 1099), and the winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal and state taxes. Winners are encouraged to consult a tax advisor.

9. Publicity

Except where prohibited, by accepting the prize the winner consents to Sponsor's use of their name, business name, likeness, and story for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

10. Privacy

Information collected is used to administer the Grant and for Sponsor's marketing communications, handled per Sponsor's Privacy Policy at https://www.saltbox.com/privacy-policy. You may opt out of marketing at any time.

11. General Conditions

Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, violates these rules, or acts disruptively. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or technical failures. Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel the Grant if fraud, technical failure, or other cause compromises its integrity, and may select a winner from eligible entries received before the issue. The prize is conditioned on Saltbox Elmhurst opening for membership. If the opening is delayed for any reason (including permitting or construction), the prize redemption period is measured from the actual opening date and Sponsor is not liable for the delay; Sponsor may adjust prize timing accordingly. If Saltbox Elmhurst does not open for membership, the prize will not be awarded, and Sponsor shall have no obligation to substitute another prize or provide cash or other compensation. By entering this promotion, entrants acknowledge and accept this condition.

12. Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants release Sponsor and its affiliates from any liability arising from participation or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this promotion or the prize shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in DuPage County, Illinois, administered in accordance with the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"), unless otherwise required by law. Any court proceedings shall be limited to enforcing the arbitration agreement, compelling arbitration, or confirming, modifying, or vacating an arbitration award, and shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois. To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants agree that any dispute shall be brought solely in their individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, representative, or class-wide proceeding, and waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration.

14. Not affiliated with Meta / social platforms

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Facebook or Instagram) or any other platform. Entrants release those platforms from any responsibility.

15. Winner Requests

For the name of the winner after selection, email marketing@saltbox.com with "Made in Chicago Grant Winner" in the subject.
